The images created for my first show that was held at Disegno Gallery, Southbank, Victoria, were the result of photo/computer experimentation and were all based on photographs taken in Victoria, Australia, and on holiday in New Zealand in 1997-98.
The project started just up the road from where I used to live in North Caulfield at the four-way junction of the tram tracks at Balaclava Junction.
The sand, stone and driftwood textures come from my travels around New Zealand.
There is something about the summer storms that have always fascinated me. The storm and sky shots were taken around my parents home in Point Lonsdale on the Bellarine Peninsular, Victoria.
My narrative and textural shots were taken in these different environments and expanded upon for the art works that you see here. Enjoy!
